I don’t even like Chelley that much, but the fanfiction is so well-written and this song is so “pick-you-up” in a way that it makes the day seem magical. I may sound like a complete tool, but it does.

This song is magical - it’s cheery hopefulness can invigorate you and ease your troubled mind, as well as make you sob quietly in a corner because omg blue sky feelings :D

I’ve always loved this song, but associating it with Blue Sky gives me an incredible sense of warm contentment, every time I hear it :)

As promised, here are the main brushes I use in Sai. I got three different styles, the first one is pretty new but also really fun to work with. I use the Ink Pen on Stabilizer: 12 and Smooth paint on 100 Density.

I use Pencil for everything, almost everything I create is done in pencil first especially for paintings much like I do in a RL sketchbook (I’m a traditionalist at heart). I don’t use any Stabilizer here except for Crayon which is set to 7.

In my paintings I use Smooth paint on 40% Density/10% Stabilized to color block the basic shapes, then 70% Density for line work, I layer color light-dark on 20%Density until I get the right skin tones/glow ala Egg Tempera technique. I use Oil paint to do the hair Dark-light on %40 Density/ No stabilization and then Speckle on 10% Density/ No stabilization for skin texture for any moles/freckles/pores.

And that’s the method to my madness folks. :D Hope this helps anyone out there.

I have no idea what most of these digital art techniques mean, but when I see gorgeous Blue Sky art, I reblog it :D

HELLO PEEPS it is Portal’s birthday today so I am doing a Blue Sky sort of… thing.

I have erasers. REALLY NICE IWAKO ONES. I have an apple, a unicron, and a… doughnut. They don’t make bagels. BUT I SWEAR TO YOU, if you turn this bastard over, it looks as much like a bagel as you could want. Also they’re not all in one piece, so if you wanted you could probably find a way of removing the chocolate icing part without harming the doughnut/bagel part. But I’m going to leave that up to you, because I’m not licensed to perform eraser surgery.

(OOC: Another Blue Sky piece. I don’t think it turned out as good as the first, but…anywho yeah. I kind of thought that since he thought it said “Evolgxof”, the “f” was towards the bottom and the “e” at the top. I…could be wrong but that’s how I imagined it. This is probably horrible)

I think whichever direction her name was written, Wheatley still would have gotten it wrong ;-)

Also, consider this an invite for others to design their own Foxglove, I’d really like to see what others have in mind, I’ve seen four different Foxgloves already and I think they’re beautiful. My design shouldn’t be the end-be all for her, I’m sure there’s some wonderful renditions among the Blue Sky fans out there.

I’ve been listening to just the first disc for awhile, myself. I mean, the downloads for the second and third discs were taken down from Mediafire, and that’s a total bummer!

I’ve been meaning to say this in a long overdue mod post, since there are now so many new members since the last one (HELLO AND WELCOME :D) but yes, we have a tag! #blue sky portal and #blue sky support group are the only ones I’m actively tracking, although I do scroll through the #portal #wheatley and #blue sky tags (ughhh, the nonsense in the blue sky one, so many reblogs of the same instagram photo *weeps*) but usually not every day, since it’s a bit time consuming. So if you would like to share something specifically for Blue Sky fans and the community, please use our tag! Thanks guys :)

Also, FYI I’m only online a few hours a day and my time zone is GMT, so if I’m a bit late, or slow, sharing something that’s usually why. I know my posting schedule is a bit erratic, but I always get there in the end :D

Okay, I’m good. Not. My face is currently fixed into a blank expression as a roaring ITCH at the base of my neck explodes with mountains and oceans and galaxies of feels. Blue Sky was the first Portal fanfiction I decided to read. I am 100% positive that no other fanfic in this fandom will ever be as BRILLIANT and make me an internal emotional wreck (internal because I was reading it in school: cue amateur acting skills). There are not enough words in the world to describe how marvelously fantastic this story was. Excuse me, I just… *curls into a ball of emotion* Wheatley and Chell and all of the people of Eaden and P-Body and Atlas and WHEATLEY. Oh my goodness, Wheatley, you precious imperfect perfect wonderful man! If there’s going to be a Portal 3, I would love if it was heavily based on Blue Sky. And, and… I don’t know how to end this ramble, sooo, uh, yeah. Thanks for taking your time to read this.
